To market Nike’s Run Club, we were called on by photographer Guido Vitti to collaborate on a shoot starring a surprising blend of talent: real runners, models that look like them, and a street-cast pinch-hitter — someone we plucked literally off the street and got onto set within 20 minutes — who wound up being a client favorite.

  • We found a nimble approach was best suited for this production, which meant wardrobe and production worked out of a Sprinter van, allowing us to hop from location to location.
  • Production hack: If you get a 15-pass van without the seats (or ideally a tall Sprinter), you can strap the wardrobe racks in and make it a very functional mobile wardrobe area. And yes, our stylist came with a pop-up changing pod to use as needed.
